Ah, Melbourne, how I missed you throughout COVID-19’s enforced border closures.
Touted as Oz’s most European city, marketed as the number one sporting metropolis Down Under and renowned as the home of Australian fashion, Victoria’s capital is a must-visit.
At the heart of it all is Chapel Street, a four kilometre strip featuring prominent local and international fashion stores as well as restaurants, bars and shops.
Back in 2007, when I first visited Australia from Sri Lanka, I fell for the bustling precinct and in the subsequent 15 years since I’ve made every effort to make my way back regularly.
So what is it about Chapel Street that I’m drawn to?
